
“I found out on a Friday that the owner was pursuing other interests and that I had till the end of the day Saturday to get whatever I could from the place,” says Barry Hager, who managed and cooked at the Whistle Stop alongside waitress Tammy Salter. “It was a real shame, because I know a lot of people who did not expect it to close and who missed getting their breakfast on the way to work.”
